The instructors of Coastal Combat are a group of highly skilled martial artists who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of excellence in combat sports. These instructors began their martial arts journey back in 2005, embarking on a quest to train with the best masters from all over the world. They traveled to Thailand, immersing themselves in the renowned Sityodtong gym, learning from the legendary Muay Thai fighter, Samart Payakaroon, considered the Greatest of All Time. In Japan, they trained under the tutelage of Jin Izumi at the prestigious Kodokahn, refining their techniques and honing their skills. The instructors also spent months in Brazil, training with the likes of Anderson "The Spider" Silva, and the Nogueria brothers, Rogerio and Rodrigo, at Team Nogueria in Rio. Coastal Combat, originally opened in 2012 by founder Jordan Herring, has recently been rejuvenated by Head Coach Jake Hesselgrave. Since then, Coastal Combat has achieved remarkable success, with three state championships, multiple promotional belts, and their athletes competing on major stages both locally and internationally. The instructors at Coastal Combat bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience, molding their students into formidable fighters.
